Who are we

The transformation of the Swedish Public Employment Service is in an intensive phase, with a strong effort to become more data-driven in our decision-making, support the operations, and manage our data and information in a modern and quality-assured way.

The Advanced Analytics and BI section currently consists of about 25 employees. We are the central place for advanced analysis, reporting, and visualization, where our primary tool is Qlik Sense. Our mission is to provide our consumers with data and enable the agency to generate necessary statistics for the public, the Ministry of Employment, journalists, as well as for internal processing and follow-up, etc. We support the development of the information that drives analysis and creates insights into the Swedish labor market.

About the position

As a Qlik developer with us, you play a key role in transforming raw data into insights and are responsible for building high-performing applications in Qlik Sense. You work closely with our data warehouse and our solution architects to create simple, elegant, and robust data visualizations.

Your main tasks:

• You build and maintain robust Qlik solutions, developing and supporting the requirements and testers with your knowledge in BI.
• You collaborate with the solution architect to ensure that deliveries from the data warehouse maintain high quality and that the logic in the Qlik apps is correct, stable, and scalable.
• You, together with your colleagues, act as a bridge between the data warehouse and BI needs. You contribute your understanding of how technical solutions best support the end user.
• You follow best practices for development in Qlik Sense. This includes a focus on operational reliability, information security, and ensuring our solutions are easy to maintain.
• Together with product owners and other technical leaders, you are responsible for monitoring, reporting, and addressing any incidents in the platform to ensure stable delivery to the operations.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may start with a six-month probationary period. The workplace is located in Solna.

Basic requirements

• Education with a focus on data, e.g., a degree in computer science or equivalent experience in IT-related work
• At least 3 years of experience in BI development or data analysis development
• At least 2 years of experience with relational databases and SQL (Oracle or another database) as well as data modeling and dimensional modeling
• Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

Other merits

• Experience working in a large organization and/or government agency
• Experience in developing in a data visualization tool (Qlik or similar tools)
• Experience working with statistics, statistical modeling, and/or predictive models
